What type of roles are you using the Shine platform to recruit for?

Majority are high volume roles however; we have used them for a couple of roles where we’ve need quite specific knowledge, and this has allowed us to ‘whittle out’ candidates who don’t have the knowledge we require.

What was your hiring process like prior to implementing video interviewing?

We used a different provider for the Video interviews and the system was quite difficult to navigate. It wasn’t as user friendly as Shine is to candidates and also, makes things a lot easier for us at the back end!

What was the main challenge in your recruitment process that made you start looking for a video interviewing provider?

We outgrew our previous provider’s system by increasing the volume of recruitment we were doing and we needed a new approach to the video interviewing process.

What is your current application process? (From application to hire)

Application via CV, CV sort, CV’s are passed on to hiring coaches, successful candidates are invited to first stage interview/video interview. Some of our interviews are a one stage process however, with all video interviews we ask candidates, if successful, to come into Atom HQ for an interview. If the applicant who has completed a video interview, has applied for a Customer Support agent role, we invite the candidates in to take part in our bootcamp days (known more traditionally as an assessment centre). If successful at that stage, they would be offered the position.

What was it about Shine that made you choose us as your provider?

The fresh approach Shine had to video interviewing and the effort Pete had made to come int Atom HQ to learn more about Atom. It was great to have ‘the personal approach’ rather than sending out generic emails. Also, that Shine allow candidates to contact them direct with any problems, greatly helped us in terms of freeing up our time.

What results have you seen since implementing the Shine platform?

A much more user-friendly system and more efficient use of our time as a team (such as not needing to deal with problems from candidates with the system and them going direct to the Shine helpdesk.

Have you had any feedback from hiring managers or candidate about your new process with Shine?

Candidates have felt it was a user-friendly system and easy to navigate round.
